Abstract

Twenty years is a reasonable period to wait for political and social progress in any country. Particularly in Mexico, during this period a little less than three six-year terms pass - a traditional measure of power cycles - during which the commitments and opportunities to initiate, continue or consolidate improvements seem sufficient. With regard to the democratic dimension of political communication and journalism, the prospect of an advance or improvement in the last twenty years, those of the democratic transition, is at least ambivalent and in some cases, disappointing...
