The proposal is to evaluate the representations that the analysis press constructed world-wide in relation to the reforms to the land property, thematic strongly installed in the decades of 1960 and 1970. This press - called analysis or explanation inspired by the style of American weekly Times- emerges in the early '70s in Argentina with the newspaper La Opinión and in Brazil with Opinião weekly publications with strikingly similar characteristics The analysis methodology is part of the theoretical methodological proposal of Critical Discourse Analysis, which studies language as a social practice and considers the context of the use of language is crucial, with the intention of making a contribution to the knowledge of little studied newspapers and their roles as political actors.
